From Sept 1989 to Sept  1991 and again from June 1997 to August 2001 I was bass trombonist, soloist and contributing writer  for the legendary Ray Charles.  We toured the world many times over headlining at just about all of the major jazz festivals.    

 From 1985 to 1987 and again from 1996 to 2003 I lived and gigged in New York City. 

I was trombonist and contributing arranger for the Big Apple Circus in New York from August 2001 to June 2003.

Since 2003 I have been freelancing in St. Louis, Missouri enjoying much success as a first call trombone and bass trombone player at the Fox Theater, The Muny and other theater orchestras. I have also performed with: The American Kantorai, The Gateway Festival Orchestra and many others.

I am a member of Elsie Parker's band The Poor People of Paris

I am a member of both the Clarion Brass and Gateway Brass Quintets.

In 2008 I re-launched my live and location audio recording studio having produced many recordings for various artists. I have also launched a record label (Eye-full Tower Records LLC).

I was chief arranger for the Kevin Kline Theater Awards Show from 2006 to 2009.

As a jazz artist I have developed a unique and facile technique on bass trombone. I started on piano and trombone in 4th grade and gravitated toward other instruments like clarinet, sax and trumpet. For a long time I played all of them equally well. I also benefitted from a couple of very strong choir programs in grade school and high school. I've always enjoyed playing any style of music as long as it was good. I am able to to draw from many sources when it comes to improvisation. My earlier influences were John Coltrane, Thad Jones, Frank Zappa, Phil Woods, McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson and ,many more. I have performed repeatedly with: The Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, The Chico O'Farrill Latin-Jazz Dream Band, The Poor People of Paris, The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, The Scott Whitfield Jazz Orchestra East, Hard Bop Heritage.
